Who We Are

GMUIF owns real estate and telecommunications assets, and it contributes to Mason through cash and in-kind contributions. GMUIF is the sole stockholder of the for-profit F Corporation and has 100% member’s equity in Mason Global Pathways, LLC (MGP).

GMUIF is in a unique position to “co-pilot” projects with Mason, and continue contributing to the long-term success and well-being of the university. It can establish, and make use of, existing nonprofit and for-profit structures to help support the university’s mission in a variety of ways.

GMUIF provides streaming video services 24/7 for GMU-TV, WGMU Radio, and outside organizations. Our team manages the TV studio on the Arlington campus, and provides personnel and equipment for internal and external use. Productions include work for the Scalia School of Law, Schar School of Public Policy, School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and collaborative projects between the Catalog for Philanthropy and College of Visual and Performing Arts. Our team also manages the Virtual Presentation Studios which are located on the Fairfax and Arlington campuses. Additionally, we oversee master control operations, which include programming and distribution of GMU-TV on campus, via the Internet, and to several cable companies. GMUIF supports GMU-TV’s educational efforts, supporting master control operations, and providing equipment.
